CATTLEYA LABIATA
CATTLEYA LABIATA
Cattleya labiata, the Crimson Cattleya, is a large-flowered orchid native to Brazil across northern, northeastern and southeastern regions. It grows as a pseudobulbous epiphyte or lithophyte in a seasonally dry tropical biome. A 2012 Brazilian profile reports flowers approximately 15 to 25 centimetres in diameter, giving the species a particularly imposing floral scale. Cattleya labiata is also the type species of the genus Cattleya, making it important both visually and in the nomenclatural history of this celebrated orchid group.
Presented as a refined naturalist plate, this art print showcases its large lavender-pink blossoms and vivid crimson lip. A unique piece for flower lovers, collectors of scientific illustration, and interiors seeking elegance with meaning.
