CYMBIDIUM ALOIFOLIUM

CYMBIDIUM ALOIFOLIUM

Cymbidium aloifolium, the Pendulous Cymbidium, is native from the Himalayan region through tropical Asia to western Malesia. It grows as an epiphyte or lithophyte in wet tropical environments. The plant has long, tough, strap-like leaves and can produce pendulous racemes of waxy, patterned flowers. This downward-hanging floral architecture gives it a very different silhouette from upright cymbidiums and also illustrates that members of the genus are not necessarily terrestrial plants rooted in the ground.

Presented as a refined naturalist plate, this art print showcases its long cascading spikes of cream and maroon-striped blossoms. A unique piece for flower lovers, collectors of scientific illustration, and interiors seeking elegance with meaning.
