VANDA COERULEA
VANDA COERULEA
Vanda coerulea, the Blue Vanda, is an epiphytic orchid native from northeastern India and the eastern Himalaya through parts of Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and southern China. It inhabits wet tropical to montane forest and grows monopodially with exposed aerial roots. The species is known for blue to violet-blue flowers, often marked by a tessellated pattern. This unusual colour range has also made Vanda coerulea influential in cultivated Vanda breeding aimed at producing blue-toned flowers.
Presented as a refined naturalist plate, this art print showcases its sky-blue blossoms and distinctive lattice-like veining. A unique piece for flower lovers, collectors of scientific illustration, and interiors seeking elegance with meaning.
