VANDA TRICOLOR
VANDA TRICOLOR
Vanda tricolor, the Tricolor Vanda, is an epiphytic orchid native to western Java, with introduced occurrence recorded elsewhere including Hawaii. It inhabits wet tropical forest and grows monopodially, producing a persistent leafy stem and exposed aerial roots. The flowers are waxy and patterned in cream or yellow with brown-red markings and a coloured lip. Its combination of strap-like leaves, aerial roots and heavily spotted flowers creates a distinctly architectural form characteristic of many cultivated and wild Vanda orchids.
Presented as a refined naturalist plate, this art print showcases its creamy white petals marked with purple spots and a rose-colored lip. A unique piece for flower lovers, collectors of scientific illustration, and interiors seeking elegance with meaning.
