CITRINE
CITRINE
Citrine is a yellow to orange variety of quartz whose color is associated with iron-related defects in the crystal structure. Natural citrine is comparatively uncommon, and much of the material sold commercially is produced by heating amethyst or smoky quartz, which can generate yellow, orange or reddish-brown colors. With Mohs hardness 7, citrine shares the durability and crystal structure of other quartz varieties. Natural deposits occur in several regions, including Brazil and parts of Africa. Its transparent warm coloration ranges from pale yellow to deeper golden and brownish tones.
Presented as a refined naturalist plate, this art print highlights its warm yellow brilliance, symbolic vitality, and timeless charm. A unique piece for gemstone lovers, collectors of scientific illustration, and interiors seeking elegance with meaning.
